Ten writers for children. All with something to say.

I'm back from a great two weeks in Boston/NY, presenting at schools, receiving a Boston Globe Horn Book Honor Award, pitching new projects and spending a day at the NY Hall of Science with future builders. Fun times!

Great pictures, Christy. What an interesting two weeks. I'm curious to hear how your meetings went, too.

John, the meetings were good. I am thankful and hopeful. I have my work cut out though as I develop and refine ideas, create dummies, and sample art. In sports lingo, "I need to step up to the plate."

Over six years had passed since my last trip to NY; I need to visit regularly.

Christy, it sounds and looks like a successful trip on so many different levels. Congratulations! And I hope good things come from your meetings.

Love these photos Christy! I wish I could have been in the classroom with you-- I want to build a gumdrop house!
What you say about NY rings true. Time to book a trip for myself. I look forward to hearing more about future projects!
