Halloween Eve...

...and that can mean only one thing: pumpkin carving!

Here's my first design of the evening: Scary Scrabble! It's your move...what word are you going to make?

Now it's back to the my carving knives; one down, three more to go!

That is my favorite one yet! You are so amazing.

There's something about repetition that pushes the boundaries of variation. You keep showing us your agile, flexible brain that seems to have no end of ideas. I love how the pumpkin is just another canvas for your visions. This is so clever!

I will go with pumpkin, but that still leaves a P left. I guess if it's pumpkin I could just eat it and be done with. At nine, we have had a grand total of four trick or treaters. 22 steps and a hilly street so the kids head elsewhere where they can cover more ground.

David, you amaze me with your creativity! I love this "scrabble" jack-o-lantern.

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. I'm always afraid that I won't be able to come up with any new ideas each year. You can see the rest of this year's pumpkins at my website, davidlarochelle.com.
John, we had 78 trick-or-treaters where I spent Halloween, which was down from last year. And it's possible to find a place to use ALL the Scrabble tiles without having to eat one!
