Yep. Wish we lives closer so we could visit art shows together! All of those things work for me. Thanks for the list!

Yes, spuds, let's all fill our wells together sometime.

This could be my post on "filling the well" Christy, except maybe not sewing or poetry. A lot of poetry just makes me annoyed, but something by Frost or Shel Silverstein, well, that's another story.

David, a lot of poetry makes me annoyed, too. But when words are sifted carefully and the metaphor is fresh, it can be like getting at the essence of something important or making the ordinary newly important.

I'll teach you to sew when we meet. I bet you could get hooked on it.

hmmm... there is a lot of annoying poetry out there, but there is also so much to inspire my day. Perhaps we should do a round on inspiring poetry with favorite poems?

I like the suggestion of doing a round on inspiring poetry, Lauren. I had a poetry class in high school that I LOVED, and read lots of poems that I still have memorized today. But there's also a lot of poems, like a lot of modern art, which feel like Brussels sprouts - I know it's supposed to be good for me, but I just don't like it (except in reality, I DO like Brussels sprouts).
And Christy, I would love to learn to sew. If I had all the time in the world, I'd love to learn to quilt in particular. Quilts fascinate me, and I'd love to design my own.

David, I knew this intuitively about you. Of course you should make a quilt. Let's have a spud bee.

A spud bee sounds great! And I too love brussel sprouts!

I want to get in on the spud's quilting bee, too! I love to quilt and going to a quilt show is very inspirational. Great list, Christy!
